What to expect
Laser pre-treatment
- ·Avoid direct sun, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 2 weeks before treatment.
- ·Discontinue retinoids, exfoliants, and other harsh products 3–5 days prior.
- ·Skip facial waxing, chemical peels, or aggressive skin treatments for at least 1 week.
- ·Stay well-hydrated and maintain a healthy skincare routine.
Post-treatment care
- ·Expect mild redness, similar to a sunburn, that subsides within hours to a couple of days.
- ·Avoid direct sun and use broad-spectrum SPF 30+.
- ·Use only gentle, hydrating products recommended by your provider.
- ·No picking or scrubbing if mild peeling or flaking occurs.
- ·Stay hydrated and avoid heat or heavy sweating for 24–48 hours.
Follow-up
- ·Follow-up treatments are typically every 4–6 weeks for best results.
